Miguel Ángel Jesús Maximiliano
Project Manager
Miguel has more than 14 years of experience in open-pit mine planning, specializing in strategic and Life-of-Mine (LOM) planning, pit optimization, phase design, fleet sizing, and techno-economic evaluation, primarily across copper, gold, iron ore, and industrial mineral operations.
His experience combines strategic mine planning, mine design, and economic evaluation, incorporating operational constraints, Mineral Reserves, equipment requirements, and CAPEX and OPEX assumptions to develop technically viable and economically competitive alternatives.
Throughout his career, he has worked on large-scale operations such as Cerro Verde, Toquepala, Tintaya, and Antapaccay, developing LOM plans, forecasts, final pit selection, cut-off grade optimization, phase and waste dump design, and fleet sizing. This experience gives him a comprehensive perspective from strategic mine planning through to executable operating plans.
As Project Manager at MINE PRECISION, he leads technical and economic studies, bringing experience in mine optimization, block model valuation, cut-off grade definition, production planning, and economic evaluation to support development and investment decisions.
Open-pit strategic mine planning, mine optimization and design, and techno-economic evaluation focused on developing viable alternatives and strengthening development and investment decisions.
